Transcendence 

Museum Victoria, 2016

Motherworks was engaged by Museum Victoria to act as producer for the major sculptural installation Transcendence, by indigenous artists Megan Cope and Steaphan Paton for the First People’s gallery. The work portrays the connection between the First People‘s of the Kulin nation and their relationship to the land. A suspended river of translucent leaves, the Birrarung, moving from salt-water to fresh water flowing above volcano shield forms.
